Straight from the Stick

Yay! Got the ultra rare version of “Straight from the Dick” – “Straight from the Stick“! by Super Adventure Club on Armellodie Records – which is a customised drumstick with a download code (never advertised and sold out now so don’t even try!) of the new album to be released in November 2013.

Some piccies and a taster video of ‘Dog with Two Dicks’ from the album below :)

The Meadows Festival 2010

…or a rainy Sunday afternoon with Super Adventure Club!

Well a little bit of it! Went up on the Saturday and almost melted in the heat, so didn’t stay long, went up on the Sunday in more traditional Meadows Festival weather – freezing cold & raining – so didn’t stay long!!! And even more unusually didn’t bump into loads of people I hadn’t seen for yEras – not even one???

Anyways I mainly went along to see the rather fab’n’groovy Super Adventure Club – again! They played the Sunday so it was cold, wet & muddy and knee deep in knickers??? but they played a really great set, I was expecting the sound etc to be crap as it was in the open-air etc etc etc but it was actually very good.

Anyways here’s a couple of vids – the new single ‘Hip Hop Hot Pot Pot Noodle’….

….and Nosferatu from the new album ‘Avoid Zombies’

Super Adventure Club

Well Saturday was Record Store Day 2010 (17-04-2010) a day when you were supposed to go out and support your local indie recordshop – which you did right?

Well I did. Except not quite my local recordshop – I went to a Glasgow one instead!  As I was going thru for a gig anyways I found out that Super Adventure Club were playing a set at Avalanche Records – I’d seen them supporting A Band Called Quinn earlier in the week, they were great so I wasn’t going to miss this one. In fact on the strength of seeing them once I bought the ‘Avoid Zombies’ CD and I recommend you do too. You can get it from Armellodie Records direct or Avalanche and all good indie Record Stores!

The gig was quite different!!! It must have been the smallest performance space I’ve ever seen – unfortunately they had some tech trouble for the first couple of numbers – but still managed to pull it off as you can see here:

And without having to leave the comfort of my blog here’s the video for the excellent ‘Pick Up Sticks’ from the Avoid Zombies CD
